چکیده

11 Bronchiectasis is characterized by an abnormal permanent dilatation of bronchi with destruction of the muscles and elastic tissue1. First description of the disease was by Laennec in 18192. It was considered as an orphan disease with no definite management protocols or break through therapeutic approaches until recently3. The major studies in bronchiectasis were on CF, as it is the commonest in the West which was later extrapolated to non CF bronchiectasis. In India most bronchiectasis are non CF4.
